The 2026 Scotsman Guide Top Originators rankings are out, and we're proud to share some big news: MortgageCS has been named the #17 top mortgage broker in the United States and the #1 mortgage broker in Pennsylvania by loan volume.

Last year, we were ranked #21 nationally. This year, we jumped four spots and earned the top position in our home state. That kind of progress doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of the people behind it.

The team that made this possible

We talk a lot about treating clients like family. But that starts with how we treat each other. Every person on this team plays a role in what we've built, and this ranking belongs to all of them.

Ben Stucker, Co-Founder & CEO -- Ben set the tone from day one. His philosophy is straightforward: do right by people, and the rest follows. He still picks up the phone at odd hours, still walks clients through every option, still cares about every single deal like it's his first. That energy is contagious, and it's the reason this company exists in the form it does today.

Alec Baker, Co-Founder & COO -- Alec keeps the engine running. From the technology that powers our client experience to the systems that help us close loans faster, Alec is the reason things work the way they do behind the scenes. Without his vision for how a mortgage company should operate, we'd be a very different team.

Melissa Jacquinto, Director of Loan Production -- Melissa is the backbone of our loan pipeline. She manages the flow of every deal and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. Her attention to detail and ability to juggle dozens of moving pieces at once is something our clients benefit from every day, even if they never see it directly.

Christine Lamb, Sr. Loan Processor -- Christine has a talent for making the complicated feel simple. Processing a mortgage involves mountains of paperwork and tight deadlines, and Christine handles it all with a calm precision that keeps deals on track. She's often the reason a loan closes on time when it easily could have been delayed.

Shannon Murphy, Closing Manager -- Shannon is the last person in the chain before a client gets their keys. She manages the closing process with the kind of care and thoroughness that gives clients confidence at the finish line. When Shannon tells you everything is set, you can trust that it is.

Chelsea Dean, Loan Coordinator -- Chelsea is often the first point of contact for new clients, and she sets the tone for the entire experience. She keeps communication flowing, answers questions before they're even asked, and makes sure every client feels taken care of from the very first interaction.

What this means (and what it doesn't)

A ranking is a snapshot. It measures loan volume over a calendar year. It doesn't capture the late nights, the problem-solving, or the moments where someone on this team went out of their way to help a client who was stressed or confused.

But it does tell us something important: the way we work is working. Treating people well, communicating clearly, and doing the hard work behind the scenes adds up. Year after year, it adds up.

Moving from #21 to #17 nationally and earning the #1 spot in Pennsylvania is a reflection of this team's consistency and commitment. We don't chase rankings. We chase the standard we've set for ourselves, and the rankings follow.
